Why we're opening VentureKids

Built for the problems every Lamorinda parent knows.

We're parents too. VentureKids exists because the current options don't add up — and our kids deserve better than a packed calendar and a glowing screen.

Driving to 5 different places for 5 different classes.

Our fixOne place. Five disciplines. One pickup.

Energetic kids with nowhere to burn it off.

Our fixMovement, BJJ, and group play built into everyday, scorching summer or rainy winter.

Bored at school — hungry to learn, but not like that.

Our fixZero worksheets — advanced math, reading, and science learned through hands-on entrepreneurship, robotics, and art.

Picky at the table, but always hungry for snacks and ice cream.

Our fixBrain and physical activity builds real appetite — and we make healthy food "cool" here.

Nothing holds their attention like an iPad.

Our fixA Montessori environment that grows natural curiosity — protecting young brains from the damage of fast-scrolling social media.
Why VentureKids

Knowledge should be fun to learn, not forced.

We believe children learn best when they are engaged, excited, and having fun.

Business, finance, management, critical thinking, problem solving, public speaking, robotics, AI, coding — they all sound so serious and so hard for kids. But what if we could make these lessons more fun than screen time?

What if your child would rather build a business plan, design a marketing campaign, decide who to hire, plan how to scale, and pitch to our Sharks (parent volunteers) to win real money — than bury her face in an iPad?

That's how we raise an entrepreneur kid.

Five disciplines. One curious child.

Every program is designed so children show up for the fun — and walk away with the skills schools rarely have time to teach.

Children might build a robot, fly a drone, learn how to ask AI the right questions, design inventions, and solve engineering challenges with their own hands.

  • Robotics
  • Drones
  • AI Prompts
  • Engineering Challenges
What parents see

Hands-on learning through experimentation and discovery.

Montessori Math

Montessori Math

Many kids don't naturally love math — usually because of how it was taught. Our Montessori curriculum introduces math through exploration, games, manipulatives, puzzles, and hands-on materials that make it intuitive and enjoyable.

  • Manipulatives
  • Math Games
  • Logic Puzzles
  • Real-World Problems
What parents see

Children understand the why behind every number.

Movement & Kids BJJ

Movement & Kids BJJ

Movement and physical confidence are core to VentureKids. Through movement games, wrestling, martial arts, teamwork, and friendships, children develop strength, coordination, focus, and resilience — and a real sense of progress as they earn belts and crush milestones.

  • Kids BJJ
  • Movement Games
  • Strength & Coordination
  • Belt Progression
What parents see

Children leave stronger — both physically and emotionally.

Why These Five

Five disciplines. One ecosystem.

We didn't pick five subjects at random. Each one quietly feeds the others — so a child learning to pitch a business is also strengthening math, art, engineering, and the physical confidence to stand on stage.

Business

Pitching a Shark Tank idea demands the storytelling of Art, the logic of Math, the tools of Robotics & AI, and the confidence built in Movement.

Art & Performance

Designing a product, a brand, or a stage performance gives Business its voice, Math its visual patterns, and Robotics its creative spark.

Robotics, AI & Coding

Building robots and prompting AI turns Math into a tool, Art into interactive design, and Business ideas into working prototypes.

Montessori Math

Math is the quiet engine — pricing a lemonade stand, programming a robot, composing symmetry in art, scoring a sparring round.

Movement & BJJ

Strength, focus, and resilience on the mat power every other discipline — the courage to pitch, perform, prototype, and persist.

The Loop

Every skill makes the next one easier.

Business needs Art to tell its story. Art needs Math for rhythm and proportion. Math becomes alive through Robotics. Robotics needs the patience built on the mat. Movement gives a child the courage to walk back into the boardroom and pitch again.

Our Mission

A place children can't wait to come.

To create a place where children can't wait to come, where friendships are formed, confidence grows, and learning feels like an adventure. Through laughter and games, movement and showcases, competitions and promotions — these children become strong and confident, always view the world with an exploring eye, and carry a natural curiosity wherever they go.

That's a VentureKid.
